Celebrating International Volunteers Day
Recently we had our Volunteer End-Of-Year party where we were able to celebrate with our volunteers and thank them for their contribution this year.

Where would we be without our hardworking volunteers? With 213 volunteers to date, every one of these individuals have contributed to the success and delivery of our programs. The dedication and selflessness of our volunteers has allowed us to expand our service provision to suburbs across the Brisbane community. 

Today we celebrate International Volunteers Day (Tuesday 5th of December), to raise awareness of the important role volunteers play in responding to the ever-evolving challenges which face our local community.  

Our amazing volunteers help us out in a myriad of ways, including: 

  • Transport assistance 
  • Food relief  
  • Meals on wheels delivery 
  • English language coaching 
  • Community gardens 
  • Community education program or specialised committees  

This year we saw a resurgence in volunteer activity as we moved out of the pandemic years
