Do I need Public Liability Insurance?

Yes, you must provide your own public liability insurance to book a venue.

Do you provide catering?

No, but we can refer you to our preferred Catering company.

You are welcome to serve coffee, tea and food, but strictly NO BYO alcohol.

Is cleaning my responsibility?
Are you able to temporarily hold a date for me?

Unfortunately not. Our halls are popular and heavily booked.

Once you know your dates and times & you’re ready to make your booking, just go straight to the booking system.

How many people do your venues hold?

It varies depending on the activity, whether people will be seated or standing, and whether you include the outside areas as well.

Can I inspect a venue before hiring &/or registering?

Yes. To inspect a venue please email  the name of the venue and three preferences of a date and time that suits.

We will let you know if these times are available and organise entry instructions for you.

You don't need to be registered on the booking website arrange make an inspection.

What facilities are provided?

Our venues come with basic furniture and appliances.

Specialised facilities are also offered in some venues.

Are spaces available as places of worship?

Communify Queensland manages several facilities on behalf of other organisations and lease some halls from the Brisbane City Council.

Please note, Council does not support community-leased facilities being used as places of worship (see Community Facilities Brochure).

Spiritual, Social and Cultural programs are welcome. If in doubt, please contact for clarification.

Ashgrove Bowls Club

A large open hall with wooden floors and plenty of natural light, it is perfect for a huge range of activities; from yoga or dance classes to birthday celebrations and business functions.

Aspley Memorial Bowls Club

This air conditioned hall is perfect for various functions, seating up to 150 people in the dining room and with further space in the bar area.

Bald Hills Uniting Church

A picturesque, bright and airy church hall in pristine condition. Polished wooden floors, large stage and plenty of onsite parking.

Bardon Hall

This charming little hall is perfect for groups with children, with plenty of outdoor space to play and explore.

Emmanuel Uniting Church Hall

This modern, spacious church hall, complete with high domed ceiling and carpeted floors, is perfect for many varied activities.

Ithaca Hall

With vinyl floors, high ceilings, and a large open plan space, this hall is perfect for a range of community events and activities.

Jeays St, Bowen Hills

Jeays St at Bowen Hills belongs to the Australian Red Cross and hosts a large open space with tables and chairs.

New Farm Neighbourhood Centre

860 Brunswick St is a light and airy converted Queenslander, with a large carpeted room for hire on the lower level of the building with retractable glass doors.

Paddington Annexe

This space is appropriate for all kinds of activities such as meetings, workshops and singing and dancing classes.

Paddington Hall

A large, centrally located community space with wooden floors and high ceilings and a bank of windows offering plenty of natural light.

Paddington Play Centre

This large purpose-built play centre is open plan, air conditioned and centrally located in downtown Paddington.

Paddington Substation

The Paddington Substation is home to Hands on Art. Available for hire and perfect for any creative activity including art & photographic exhibitions, workshops, training and more.

S.P.A.C.E at Kenmore

SPACE offers an open plan hall filled with light for your activity, open beam ceilings, and a veranda to connect you to all the surrounding greenery.

Spring Hill Hall

Spring Hill Hall is an inner-city community hub suitable for groups looking for a venue that offers multipurpose functionality.

Spring Hill Shed

Spring Hill Shed is situated underneath Spring Hill Hall and set on the edge of Bedford Park. This large inner-city workshop space is ideal for arts and crafts groups, carpentry and construction.

Spring Hill Studio

Spring Hill Studio is ideal for dance classes, yoga sessions, meetings and training days.

The Exchange Kelvin Grove

Located in Kelvin Grove Urban village, this is a space for meeting rooms, conference rooms, yoga space and training groups.

The Newmarket

The Newmarket (formerly The Newmarket Bowls Club) is a beautiful, historic venue offering three different areas to hire.

Woolloongabba Substation

The heritage listed Woolloongabba Substation (1928) has been beautifully renovated with polished concrete floors and exposed brick feature walls making this a unique yet simple space.
