On Tuesday, our Acacia Ridge Community Centre hosted their annual Hamper Day for their clients. As our main Southside base, we received a great turn out, distributing just over 75 hampers to numerous households within the local area.
We had 20 volunteers assisting us throughout the day, as well as Communify staff across our centres coming along to help! Thank you to Councillor Steve Griffiths for Marooka Ward Office who generously held a Toy Drive, sending all donations to Acacia Ridge, and the Lord Mayors Charitable Trust for providing toys and vouchers for kids and teens.
A final thank you goes to Second Bite and Ozharvest for always keeping our Food Co-op stocked, ensuring it was filled to the brim over the Christmas period.
It’s moments like these where we truly feel the community spirit.
