Program details

The Certificate III in Individual Support provides you with the skills and training to gain employment as a support worker in Aged Care and Disability Services.

  • 17 weeks training including 120 hours work placement
  • 2 days per week – Thursdays and Fridays 9am-2pm
  • Personalised support plan
  • Support to secure employment, leading to a rewarding career
  • Training comes at no cost to eligible participants.

Eligibility

To apply applicants must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • No longer attending school
  • Not currently enrolled in accredited training
  • Be a permanent Queensland resident or on a pathway to residency
  • Must not have previously participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Programme
  • Unemployed or underemployed – in need of support to find a job
