Late last year, we completed the renovations to the Brisbane City Council owned, heritage-listed Paddington Substation, thanks to much-needed infrastructure funding provided by the Federal Government. Since then, the space has hosted numerous creative activities including Hands On Art workshops, as well as art exhibitions and other community events.
Earlier this year, the Substation was privileged to host an art exhibition fundraiser for Down Syndrome Queensland. The exhibition featured DSQ’s clients’ art pieces, which decorated the space beautifully. Staff from Communify’s Hands on Projects team also volunteered on the night to ensure the event ran smoothly.
We look forward to seeing how the fresh new space at Paddington Substation will be used to bring our community together in 2024.
