Program details

Scenic Rim Conservationists (Beaudesert)
Paid national training wage 38 hours, 5 days per week for 18 weeks
Gain hands on ‘greening’ experience working on restoration & rehabilitation around public sites & waterways in the Scenic Rim Region
Study native plants, eco-system & conservation techniques
Develop skills in the safe use of hand tools, petrol driven equipment and herbicides
White Card, Senior First Aid Training, RFAST – Resilience First Aid Starter Training, *ACDC (Chemical Spraying Cert)
Team Building, Job Readiness Training (Resumes, Cover Letters, Mock interviews) & employability skill development
All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided

*No cost to eligible participants

Eligibility

To apply applicants must be:

16 years or older
No longer attending school
Not currently enrolled in accredited training
Be a permanent Queensland resident or on a pathway to residency
Must not have previously participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Programme
