Communify News, August 29th, 2019

Hello,

Welcome to our Communify News for the end of August.

First of all, a big congratulations to John Chong for being selected for the 2019 inaugural National Outsider Art Awards!

Hands on Art are running Shine a Light for Children 2019 in the lead up to Queensland Child Protection Week (first week of September). The Lantern project is about raising awareness for Child Protection Week and educating children to make a difference. Bring your kids along to the free workshop at the Paddington Substation on Saturday 31st August from 9:30am where they can make their own lantern.

Wendybird are holding their official 5th anniversary fundraising gala on the 13th of September. Come along and support the fabulous work the organisation does for the LGBTQ+ community!
