Join 4ZZZ Radio Presenter and Producer Elly Pashen in conversation with Queensland Youth Parliament Members Joshua Golato and Verona Hilzinger, Youth Advocacy Centre CEO Katherine Hayes, and social worker and proud Boorooberongal woman Emma Matthews to hear their views on the impact of increasing restrictions on young people and the laws that are shaping their lives. Could these laws, intended to protect, be creating unintended harm?

When do we treat young people as capable decision-makers, and when do we restrict them? Does the erosion of young people’s rights lead to a diminished sense of responsibility for young people? And how can families, practitioners, and policymakers better support young people to participate and to thrive?
