Program details

  • Paid national training wage 38 hours, 5 days per week for 18 weeks
  • Gain hands on ‘greening’ experience working onsite at Ballymore Rugby complex and gardens, restoring parkland permitter, and regeneration along Enoggera Creek. 
  • Study native plants, eco-system & conservation techniques
  • Develop skills in the safe use of hand tools, petrol driven equipment and herbicides
  • Team Building, Job Readiness Training & employability skill development
  • White Card and PPE provided

Eligibility

To apply applicants must be:

  • 16 years or older
  • No longer attending school
  • Not currently enrolled in accredited training
  • Be a permanent Queensland resident or on a pathway to residency
  • Must not have previously participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work Programme
