Presented by New Farm Neighbourhood Centre and Politics in the Pub, in partnership with the Brisbane Comedy Festival
Two teams, one moderator, one hour to prepare their arguments. Come see some of the festival’s finest comedians, along with some fresh local faces, go head-to-head in The Debate – a good old-fashioned argument, sprinkled with a healthy serving of comedic silliness.
Hosted by Brisbane’s beloved Nat Bochenski (known for Act React’s Speed: The Movie, The Play and Convince Me) The Debate will feature a line-up of six comedians fighting it out in a quick-thinking battle.
The Debate is an annual fundraising event for the amazing work of the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre. All proceeds go towards keeping the local community connected and supported.
Like your debates more serious? Politics in the Pub is a Q&A style debate that tackles the most pressing contemporary issues for Australia and the world. Each topic is addressed by a panel of experts from a range of disciplines. These events are held quarterly at the Brisbane Powerhouse and are supported by the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre and Communify Queensland.
