Last week, we held our annual Christmas Market at North West Brisbane Community Hub. The event was a resounding success, with thousands of donated food items, toiletries, Christmas gifts and goodies supporting the 170 community members who attended. A further 125 households are being supported with Christmas hampers containing leftover donations from the Market.
We’d like to thank the organisations who pitched in to volunteer at the Market, as well as those who helped our team set up Bardon Hall prior to the event:
- Staff from Grill’d Emporium who helped us with event setup, then cooking up our delicious BBQ lunch at the Market
- Tiana from Regatta Hotel who helped with event setup and manned the gifts table
- The numerous amazing staff from BHP who helped us to run the day smoothly
- Staff from TwentyTwo Digital who also helped us with the event setup!
Thank you to Cr Clare Jenkinson for attending the Market and supporting our efforts on the day.
Thank you to each and every person and organisation who donated items to the Market. Your generosity ensured that the Market had more than enough food and presents to bring Christmas magic to all the community members we support.
Finally, we owe a huge thank you to Brisbane City Council who made this event possible through their provision of a Lord Mayor’s Christmas Grant.
