Do you value creativity, but find it hard to carve out time for expression?
Are you overworked and undernourished?
Do you wish there was a safe space you could come to reconnect with yourself, and tune in to your own soul?
Join Bianca and Kat from Minola Theatre for Retreat Into Creativity: a two-day immersive experience that celebrates the arts, fosters community, and facilitates a dialogue between you and your own creative soul. Through storytelling circles, writing exercises, embodied movement, guided mindfulness, music and myth, this retreat provides a safe, welcoming space for you to reflect on the child you once were, the adult you are now, and the elder you hope one day to be.
With a focus on honouring female journeys and experiences, Retreat Into Creativity is especially designed for women and non-binary people to share their experiences, build one another up, and celebrate the power of the feminine.
Retreat Into Creativity will be held over one weekend at the peaceful S.P.A.C.E. community centre in idyllic Kenmore Hills, in Brisbane’s western suburbs. Registration numbers will be capped to ensure social distancing requirements can be met, and so that individuals get the most out of activities and discussions. There are kitchen facilities on site for participants to store and prepare their own lunch. Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a personal water bottle and wear comfortable clothing for easy movement. A journal or visual art diary will also be beneficial for recording reflections. You may choose to bring a cushion, blanket or yoga mat to help you feel more comfortable during floor-based activities.
