Communify Central (Bardon)
Communify Central is located at 180 Jubilee Tce Bardon.
The Centre is opened for the following activities:
The Pantry: Monday and Thursday
People who live in the inner north and inner west of Brisbane who have a HealthCare Card or a Pension Card can come along to The Pantry for free fresh fruit, vegetables and bread. There is no need to make an appointment. Please bring along your HealthCare or Pension Card when you visit.
Visitors to The Pantry will also have a chance to talk to us about how else we might be able to help.
What do we offer?
- Food vouchers
- Non-perishable food items
- Fruit and vegetables
Visitors to The Pantry can also use the onsite internet café. Morning tea is provided free of charge and is a good chance to catch up with others in the community. Counselling and referral is also available.
Who is eligible for this service?
Applicants need to:
- be receiving a government pension or payment; and
- live in the local area (inner north and inner west of Brisbane).
What does it cost?
This is a free and confidential service funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments. Any financial donations or gifts of grocery items are always welcome.

The Exchange at Kelvin Grove
The Exchange is a vibrant and busy Neighbourhood Centre located within the Kelvin Grove Urban Village.
Please check our What’s On page to see what’s happening or view our current timetable. Please understand that during some sessions the Exchange can be closed to drop in visits.
The Exchange offers a range of activities to join including art classes, a playgroup, English conversation, computer help, craft and more. The Exchange has free computers to use and a free community phone for people to use to contact Centrelink, make appointments and to apply for work. The Exchange auspices the Kelvin Grove Community Garden, located in Kundu Park, which is open for anyone to join.
If you have a community activity you’d like to run for free or low cost to participants, we can help you with a venue, resources and advertising. Get in touch! We’d love to hear your ideas and to help you get your group off the ground.
