Hello,

Welcome to our latest Communify News Update!

NAIDOC Week is on next week from the 7th to the 15th of July. NAIDOC originally stood for ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’ and the acronym has since become the name of the week itself.

NAIDOC week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate inn a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

In other news, the New Farm Neighbourhood Centre recently offered free yoga classes (in partnership with lululemon) to local community members, and the positive impact on wellbeing was felt all around. Watch the Youtube video here.

The Kids Do Art holiday program is on from Monday to Saturday for both weeks of the school holidays. Bring the kids down to the Paddington Substation any time from 9:30am-11:30am, drop them off and go for a coffee!
